Unlike fairy tales, this wasn't love at first sight. Jacqueline and Jorge first met each other in the Fall of 2008. That's right, almost ten years ago! They became friends right away and have been inseperable since.

Jacqueline Pittman

Jacqueline (Jackie as her friends and family call her) was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 10, 1984.  Her Cajun side is in constant need of crab cakes and the Cuban in her requires extra bacon in her congri! Her career in Accounting started in her mid-teens when she didn’t let a dress code hold her back and showed up on her first day at work in her pajamas... today she is a successful accountant but looks forward to her downtime and relaxation with her husband to be.

Jorge Gomez

Jorge was born in Anchorage, Alaska on May 6, 1986. He and his family moved to Miami shortly after his younger sister was born in 1988. At a young age, Jorge showed interest in electronics and computers and a strong aptitude for science and mathematics. As a result, Jorge followed his father's footsteps and studied Electrical and Computer Engineering and now works for Florida Power & Light. Like Jackie, he is a movie buff and enjoys cuddling next to her under a blanket to watch their favorite flixs.

Jacqueline Pittman and Jorge Gomez would like to cordially invite you to celebrate their love. Nothing about this relationship has been traditional, so why should our wedding be. We decided to ditch the stress and enjoy the moment, so we ran off and eloped. We would like to share this joyous occasion and life event with all of you, our family and friends. Our true love story

It was a cold evening in 2008 when a boy met a girl. She wore a striking black and white dress and kept to herself. She had a certain air about her – one could even say it was a bit smug. Despite that, boy gathered the courage to approach her and say, “would you like to dance?” She hesitantly responded with, “sure.” He grabbed her hand and twirled her in one swift movement. She gasped for air and gave him a half smirk – a familiar one that he will come too know all to well. He then proceeded to swoop her off her feet with the way he moved and that’s how it all started…

If you haven’t already figured it out, the boy is Jorge and the girl is Jackie. We met in September 5, 2008 at a mutual friend’s birthday party. We had an instant attraction to one another, but approached our relationship with friendship. That friendship grew over the years and we became close. We were able to tell each other everything – even the dark and embarrassing secrets. It was through this trust and closeness that a romance developed in secret, even from us. Our love grew naturally and was nurtured through friendship. Our life together is starting out on a new journey together and we look forward to continuing to learn and grow as best friends, partners, husband and wife.
